Nominee in Terre Sauvage 2015

I was delighted recently to find out that one of my images had been chosen by the prestigious Terre Sauvage competition in France.

I always feel confident in how I photograph and know when I produce images that I am pleased with. However, saying this I find that much of what I now photograph does not always get the accolades that I had hoped for, be it in talks or competitions. It would be easy to let this dishearten me but then I guess I would stop experimenting and would fall back to trying to produce images that everyone likes, and when I did this I get a bit bored. So it is always really satisfying to find that one of my images has done well in an international competition, especially one that I feel does try to push the boundaries in their selection of winning images.
